On December 21st, 2007, the fifty percent part of Tabcorp is being formed into a new organization and will be renamed CLS-GTECH Co. Limited. The new organization is being made to expand the reach of the KENO systems for lotteries throughout mainland China, according to company officers. Tabcorp's present KENO games system represents hundreds of online terminals in video lottery establishments in China.
CLS-GTECH also plans to widen that video lottery base to 2,000 video lottery terminals by 2008 and more than 30,000 video lottery machines in Mainland China over the next several years. Lottomatica is publicly dealt on the Italian Stock Exchange. Back in 2006, the company has stated $2.44 billion in profits and 5,900 staff in more than forty-five countries around the world when combined with GTECH.
GTECT also receives license approval in the state of Nevada with its own gaming interest in Atronic. Lottomatica SPA publicly announced that the Nevada Gambling Commission has decided unanimously to allow it, together with its subsidiaries, GTECH Corporation and GTECH Global Services Corporation, licensing approval to have an interest in a licensee in Nevada, which in this case, Atronic International and Atronic Americas.
Lottomatica Chairman, Lorenzo Pellicioli said that the approval in the state of Nevada is an important move towards their buyout of Atronic, which they hope to accomplish by 2008. He said that receiving the signal to buy a Nevada licensee is a great acknowledgement for their company. He added that this will be a great benefit for them in the long run.
