On April 22nd, 2008, thirty-year old Obinna Ekeleme, won a historic $100,000 from playing keno on the very 1st day that the Georgia Lottery imposed their brand new multiplier feature. Ekeleme was able to match the seven winning digits in a single game and pick the multiplier option.
That changed his $20,000 ticket to $100,000 keno ticket. The multiplier is usually decided before each keno draw and the number that was drawn in this instance is five. The maximum multiplier available for a $100,000 ticket is ten, so keno players have the chance to win at least $1,000,000 .
Ekeleme was also able to won $3,000 and $6,000 on two separate keno games. The Fast Trip Convenience Store located at 1045 Franklin Road in Marietta sold the winning $100,000 keno ticket.
Ekeleme commented that he just randomly selected the numbers in the game and luck played a big role in his win. He added that he really enjoys playing with numbers and probabilities.
