On September 15th, 2008, when the Online Casino Advisory talks, a lot of people listen, even if they do not always credit the source of brand new ideas. The OCA has been supporting the idea of combining strip clubs and casino facilities, allowing both entertainment pleasures to peacefully co-exist. It seems that some Iowa legislators are quietly talking of giving permission to gambling devices in clubs that are only for adults.
A statewide smoking ban has affected the bar industry and gaming machines are seen as a way to attract customers who left when the smoking ban was enforced. Video Keno is among the games that are being studied for adult entertainment facilities. While the adult limitations are meant to protect children from gambling, it is just a minor move from an adult-only club or strip club. Casinos in the state are exempted from the statewide smoking and bar owners commented that casinos now hold two advantages over the bars. But if the gaming playing field were equalized in some way and bars could function as strip bars, the smoking advantage of the casinos would be negated.
The best solution may be would just to give an entertainment license so that there will be no offended party and allowing all to participate at their heart's content. This would give a liquor, gaming, smoking and operating license for a strip club.
