On April 17th, 2009, a man won more than $243,000 while playing keno in a club in Sydney last night. With his wife away on a holiday, the keno player joked that he took advantage of his wife's absence and headed down to the Ramsgate RSL Club where he enjoyed a few drinks and played three keno games.
The man, who wishes to remain unknown, stated that he had spent all of his cash for the night when he remembered the keno tickets he had bought earlier. He put the tickets in and the counter attendant said that she needs to call the supervisor to verify his ticket. The supervisor said that his three keno tickets won. He was speechless from shock.
The former delivery truck driver had a ten number ticket, a 9 number ticket and a number 8 number ticket, winning $100 on the eight spot, $10,000 on the ten spot and more than $233,000 on the 9 spot.
