The Bacolod City Hall announced on May 27th, 2010, that two more outlets for the "Keno Quick Panalo" were launched by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Bacolod City, Philippines.
The regional head of the PCSO 6 in the Visayas region, Jeanette Oberio, cut the ribbon with the head of the Total Gaming Technologies Incorporated, Henri Muzzarelli, at the "Keno Quick Panalo" outlet of Lydia Reboton near the El Camino Restaurant, located at San Sebastian and Araneta Streets.
Another outlet near Foodman, which is in front of the Burgos Market, was also officially opened by Reboton and Muzzarelli with keno enthusiasts present. The first two outlets were launched on May 26th, 2010 at Mabini-San Sebastian Streets and at the Goldenfield Commercial facility.
The chief operations officer of Total Gaming Technologies, Tony Reyes, said that the game of keno gives gamers a chance to win up to one million pesos every ten minutes and that the results is immediately shown from a TV monitor.
Reyes said that keno was launched in the Philippines in restaurants and bars on March 3rd, 2004 and re-launched in July 2008 in lottery outlets. Reyes said that it was launched in Region 6 in December 2009. There are a total of fifty-three stations in the region out of which seventeen outlets are in Negros Occidental.
Reyes added that nine outlets are operating in Bacolod City. Oberio said that the PCSO hopes to place stations in every town and city in the province. Keno outlets are now found at Goldenfields Commercial Complex, Big Brothers and Triangle Mall.
Applicant agents are required to pay 11,000 pesos, supported by a Surety Bond of 6,000 pesos annually and to set up a 23,000 pesos worth of keno computer set payable in a year. Oberio said that the agents are entitled to 5% and should pay their cashier the minimum salary required by law.
