Vince Allen, who is a retiree living in Nambour, heads to the Nambour RSL every Sunday evenings to meet with his rock and roll dancing friends. He eats and drinks at the Nambour RSL and plays keno occasionally. That habit proved to be very lucrative.
Allen said that day, he was at the RSL like every Sunday just to enjoy himself and he had this intuition about the game of keno. He picked his favorite numbers, thirty-one and thirty-four and 7 other numbers.
He said that he usually watched the winning numbers in the game and the same numbers keep coming out so that is why he picked the numbers that he did. Allen said that he spent $3 to play the one game for 3 consecutive times using 4, 5 and 9 numbers. He said that he won $203,000 so he guess it worked out in the end.
A brief period of disorientation followed the winning game, with Vince Allen and his wife, Robyn double check the numbers to make sure that they are not mistaken. When he was certain that he was not mistaken, he went to the keno counter where his was confirmed. Allen said that he still cannot believe that he won. He decided to celebrate his win by buying his friends a round. He added that he plans to buy a new four wheel drive with his winnings.
